This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit tounsi.app, for what purposes and on what legal basis. It applies to the website. The Tounsi app has its own app privacy policy.

The German version of this privacy policy is legally binding. This English version is provided for convenience.

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. General information

Personal data is only processed on this website to the extent necessary for operation, security, communication and improving the website based on usage statistics. The relevant legal basis is stated for each processing activity.

The website uses no analytics or marketing cookies, no advertising networks, no social media plugins and no embedded third-party content. Fonts are loaded from our own server. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no comment feature and no user accounts on the website.

3. Hosting with IONOS

When you access the website, the server processes the connection data technically required to deliver it, in particular the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). Without this processing, the website cannot be delivered.

Purposes: delivering the website, stability, security (for example detecting attacks and abuse) and error analysis.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS SE under Art. 28 GDPR. IONOS processes personal data on our instructions as part of the hosting and email services we use. Data is processed only for as long as necessary for the purposes named above, in particular the security of the hosting.

4. Statistics with IONOS WebAnalytics

To analyze usage and improve the website’s technology and content, we use IONOS WebAnalytics, a service provided by our hosting provider, IONOS SE (address above).

The data evaluated includes in particular: referrer (previously visited page), page or file requested, browser type and version, operating system, device type, time of access, and the anonymized IP address.

According to IONOS, IONOS WebAnalytics does not set cookies. The IP address is transmitted for technical reasons, then immediately anonymized and analyzed only in a form that does not identify individuals. It is not intended to draw conclusions about individual visitors, and no usage profiles are created.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the statistical evaluation and the technical and editorial optimization of the website.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email at info@tounsi.app, we receive your email address and the information in your message. We use this data only to handle your request and any follow-up questions.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where the request relates to a contract or its initiation (for example questions about the app or a purchase); otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in answering inquiries.

The data is deleted once the request has been fully processed and the purpose of storage no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations or other legitimate reasons prevent deletion.

Our mailbox is hosted by IONOS SE (address above); IONOS also acts as our processor for this.

6. Notification about new language versions

The website is already reachable as a preview in English (tounsi.app/en/) and French (tounsi.app/fr/), even though the app does not yet offer these languages. Anyone interested in the launch of one of these language versions can voluntarily let us know by email at info@tounsi.app. A button on the respective page opens your own email app with a pre-filled subject and body. The website itself does not transmit any data; the message is only sent once you actively send it from your own email app.

We process, in particular, the sender’s email address and the content of the message. The sole purpose is to send a one-time email once the requested language version becomes available. You will not be added to a newsletter, and your data will not be used for any other marketing emails.

The legal basis is consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by sending the email. It can be withdrawn at any time, informally, by emailing info@tounsi.app. The data is deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled (that is, after the notification has been sent or the request has been withdrawn), unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Cookies and local storage

The publicly accessible website does not use cookies for analytics, marketing or advertising purposes. For this reason, no cookie banner is shown.

The content management system WordPress sets cookies only when someone logs in to the admin area. These cookies affect only the operator and are not set for regular visitors. They are technically necessary (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG).

8. External links to the App Store and Google Play

The website contains links to the Apple App Store and to Google Play, where you can get the Tounsi app. These are ordinary links; no content or scripts from these providers are embedded in the website, and the store badges shown are loaded from our own server. You leave tounsi.app only when you click one of these links. The respective provider is responsible for data processing on the linked pages; their privacy notices apply.

9. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

• Access to the personal data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure, where the requirements are met (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where processing is based on consent, it can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. No processing on this website is currently based on consent, except for the notification described in section 6.

10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
